Declaration of Conflicts of Interest
South Asian Journal of Arts, Humanities and Society (SAJAHS) requires full transparency from all contributors regarding any potential conflicts of interest at every stage of the publication process.
Authors' Declaration
At the time of manuscript submission, all authors must disclose any financial, personal, institutional, or professional relationships that could be perceived to influence the content of their manuscript. This includes any funding received and the role (if any) played by funding agencies in the design, execution, analysis, or reporting of the research. Failure to disclose such conflicts—especially if later discovered through other sources—may result in the rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article.
Editors' Responsibility
Editors involved in processing submissions are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. If an editor has a direct or indirect interest in a submitted manuscript, they must recuse themselves from the editorial decision-making process. The journal ensures that such submissions are handled by an independent editor with no conflicting interests.
Reviewers' Obligation
Peer reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest—such as academic rivalry, personal relationships, or financial interests—before accepting a review assignment. If a reviewer is found to have failed to disclose such a conflict, they may be excluded from future reviewing opportunities with the journal. SAJAHS relies on the objectivity and integrity of its reviewers to maintain a fair and rigorous peer review process.
This policy is in place to preserve the transparency, trust, and academic rigor essential to the integrity of the journal.
