Aims and Scope

The South Asian Journal of Arts, Humanities and Society (SAJAHS) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open access journal committed to publishing high-quality research across the diverse fields of social sciences, arts, culture, and the humanities. The journal serves as a dynamic platform for established and emerging scholars from South Asia and beyond, encouraging the dissemination of research that is theoretically informed, methodologically sound, and socially relevant.

SAJAHS welcomes a broad spectrum of scholarly contributions, including:

  • Empirical research articles
  • Theoretical and conceptual papers
  • Methodological innovations
  • Critical literature reviews
  • Case studies
  • Interdisciplinary and cross-cultural studies
  • Replication studies and negative findings

We are particularly interested in work that fosters dialogue across disciplines, regions, and perspectives, reflecting the complexity and richness of human societies. SAJAHS is guided by the principles of inclusivity, integrity, and academic excellence, and encourages submissions from underrepresented groups and early-career researchers.
